Sina Mossayeb is the Chief Innovation Officer at the California Academy of Sciences, where he leads interdisciplinary teams to create transformative products, experiences, and strategies that deepen public connection to nature and science. Prior to joining the Academy, Sina spent nearly a decade at IDEO, where he led initiatives focused on reimagining public safety, equitable access to healthcare, and inclusive participation in medical research trials, applying human-centered design to some of society’s most pressing challenges.
Sina holds a Ph.D. from Columbia University, where his research explored culture, identity, and systems of belonging. Across all of his work, he brings a deep commitment to equity, storytelling, and systemic change.
He is committed to Roots ConnectED’s mission of building school cultures rooted in equity, belonging, and connection, especially at a time when those values are urgently needed in both education and society at large.
